Know when a school app changes, before it becomes a problem.

App Watch looks over the apps your school allows every morning and tells your IT team when one changes in a way that matters (and your safeguarding lead too, if you add them to the alert space). Every few minutes it also checks that the services the school runs on are up.

Access is by invitation only. If you need to use App Watch, ask the person who runs it at your school to invite you.

Every morning: the apps you allow

App Watch reads each app's store listing and, where they're set, its privacy and terms pages, and warns you when:

  • an app adds chat or messaging
  • it starts letting strangers contact pupils
  • its age rating goes up
  • its privacy policy starts sharing data with others

Every few minutes: is it up?

It checks that the services the school relies on are working, such as Google Workspace, Jamf and iSAMS, plus any website or status page you add.

When something goes down or comes back, the IT team hears about it in their Chat space within about 10 minutes, and the dashboard has a message ready to send to staff. A service has to fail two checks in a row first, so one blip doesn't set it off.

One shared dashboard for your team

Everyone you invite sees the same view: what is working, which apps have changed this week, and the full watch list, organised so the important changes come first. It keeps no record of pupils, and none of who looked at what.
